Yoga Retreats

There are few better places to slow down than the Kenyan bush.

Our open-air yoga platform beside the pool looks out across the rolling hills and savannah of the Mara Siana Conservancy. Sunrise sessions begin with the sounds of the bush waking up around you, while afternoon practice offers a chance to stretch, breathe and unwind before the evening game drive or sundowners. Mats are provided, and all sessions suit different levels of experience.

Safari and Yoga retreats 2027

Spring dates: 28 March – 2 April 2027
Autumn dates: 14 – 19 November 2027

Join us for a 5-day all-inclusive retreat at Entumoto Safari Camp, where you will experience daily yoga, guided game drives, walking safaris, open-air bush meals, a wild spa and much more. This retreat is for adults only.

Yoga is woven naturally into the rhythm of the safari rather than following a rigid timetable. Some mornings begin with an early sunrise flow overlooking the conservancy; on days when wildlife takes priority, yoga happens later in the morning after the game drive. Afternoon sessions offer a quieter transition into the evening.

Every class is optional. Whether you practise regularly or are completely new to yoga, the focus is simply on movement, breathing and being present in an extraordinary setting.

Yoga teacher Alice Faulkner

Meet Alice

Alice Faulkner is a UK-based yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner who spent her childhood in Southern Africa and has since developed a strong connection with Kenya.

Throughout the retreat Alice leads daily yoga sessions suitable for all abilities. Her teaching is warm, accessible and thoughtfully sequenced, with a focus on creating space to slow down, breathe and reconnect. She will also host guests throughout their stay, having stayed with us before.

Previous retreat guests have described Alice as an “incredibly thoughtful host and yoga teacher”. Private Reiki sessions are available to book during the retreat at an additional cost.

More than a yoga retreat

Between yoga sessions, days can include guided game drives, walking safaris, bush meals, sundowners, spa treatments and plenty of time simply enjoying camp.

Our new conservancy road has opened up a much larger part of the Mara Siana Conservancy, allowing us to explore more than twice as much of our private conservancy as before, and taking guests into areas that were previously difficult to reach.

Wake up to the sounds of the bush. Move your body. Spend the day among wildlife. Eat outside under an acacia tree. Watch the sun disappear across the Mara. Then do it all again tomorrow.

Why Entumoto?

Entumoto sits within the private Mara Siana Conservancy on the south-eastern side of the Maasai Mara. The conservancy lets our guests experience the Mara away from the busier areas of the National Reserve, while still having easy access to the reserve when we want to explore further afield.

It also means your stay directly supports the conservation of this landscape and the Maasai families whose land makes the conservancy possible.

Despite the image many people have of Africa as relentlessly hot, the Mara sits at altitude and enjoys a remarkably pleasant climate — days around 25°C, with cooler evenings and nights of roughly 12–15°C. Ideal conditions for safari, walking and outdoor yoga.

Join us in 2027

Our Safari & Yoga Retreats are designed for people who want to experience the Mara properly while also giving themselves time to slow down, move and reconnect. Spaces are limited to 30 guests per departure.
